When someone says “I am”, you wait in anticipation of the remainder of the sentence. A sentence that opens with this phrase can be considered as an open-ended statement. An open-ended statement is designed to draw out information from others without placing a limit or constraint on the response.
I am reminded of a perfect example of an open-ended statement. In Exodus 3:14, God replied to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM, and then said, “Tell the Israelis: ‘I AM, sent me to you.’. Imagine Moses going back to the people with that statement. Based upon how good God has been to us, how would your open-ended sentence be completed? Below are the confirmations in God’s word that He can be whatever you need Him to be.
Create your own “I AM” list based on the experiences that God has seen you through. You can use the table below to start your list. Add an “I AM” experience as God blesses you. Let’s get started.
